AREA Activity

The AREA Activity is a short and fun exercise to help children analyze how area is used when making images. Using a grid of blocks, children can trace the border of consecutive blocks to create a unique shape, cut it out, and let their imagination run loose. What drawings will your child make?

This exercise can be repeated as many times as you want. You’ll be surprised at the amount of unique shapes and drawings that can be created from one grid!
